Can you rent a car in another country and drive?

Sorry, dumb question But I've never been out of the country and will be going to Ireland. Will they let you drive over there without an Ireland license? Or for any country for that matter?

Looking at that diagram gives me anxiety. I'd be like the Griswolds in European Vacation if I ever found myself driving on one.

Yep. Driving on the opposite side of the road is a nightmare though. I would recommend avoiding that at all costs. :/ Everywhere else in Europe, fine. UK/Ireland hell no.

They are becoming more common in the capital of NY and I love them! Wish they would have them instead of lights and in certain areas, stop signs, but I still see the occasional driver who will stop in...

They're becoming more and more popular in MI although I hate them. They're called roundabouts here.

Hey, I just got back from Ireland! I rented a car with my NY license no problem. Although they charged an absolute arm and a leg for the automatic...I really gotta learn stick shift. As for driving on...

We have a few here in the new subdivisions, but they are called traffic circles. My brother and his g/f are going to Italy and he is getting his International Driving Permit and I think his girlfriend...

I call the cul de sacs. They are basically circle drives at the end of no outlet streets.
